Supervisor - Automotive Manufacturing

MSX International is currently seeking a Supervisor ? Automotive Manufacturing. ?The successful candidate must have the following skills and experience:

  • Perform safety inspections

  • Identify and insure that safety hazards and unsafe practices are promptly corrected

  • Complete 100% of mandated FAS08 PMs

  • Drive Continuous Improvement through a focused maintenance program

  • Maintain equipment, automation, and tooling in a state of compliance with specifications, fit, form, and contamination standards

  • Lead skilled trades/maintenance personnel

  • Analyze equipment performance and work to improve efficiencies

  • Meet FTT, inventory, cost, scrap, supply, and tooling expense targets

  • Assist and teach maintenance troubleshooting techniques

  • Supervise preventive maintenance schedules, preventive and predictive inspections, and repairs

  • Coordinate and schedule Client and materials to meet maintenance requirements

  • Control and monitor oil, water, and energy usage

  • Manage and maintain support systems

  • Ability to work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

  • Capable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms safety, quality, and throughput

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills

  • One plus year Microsoft Office experience

  • One plus years maintenance troubleshooting in a Manufacturing environment or six months (coop or internship)

  • Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment


Experience Preferred:



  • Three plus years automotive experience

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles

  • Knowledge of constraint management principles

  • Safety and Quality experience

  • Prior experience managing a unionized work force

  • Robotics and conveyor system experience

  • Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls

  • Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills


Education Required:



  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred?

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
