Collection Specialist

Position Summary
Looking to start 2019 off on the right foot? How about starting a career at CFNA/Bridgestone. We are looking for energetic career focus individuals for our collections department. Here you will work with other talented teammates to collect on 30-90 day past due accounts. To be successful in this role you must be able to work both independently as well as part of a team, able to maintain a positive attitude, work evenings and some weekends, be on time, and want to grow with a great company.
As a Collections Specialist the main areas of responsibility would be:
Place outbound (automated and manual) collection calls to customers
Negotiate payments and (repayment arrangements) to assist customers in curing their delinquency
Handle inbound customer calls regarding past due balances and / or account inquiries
Initiate account corrections/updates/adjustments when necessary
Thoroughly document account notes
Validate customer demographics (phone, address, etc.) to ensure accuracy
Other duties as assigned
The skills and ability's that a good collector should have are:
Strong communication skills including listening, probing and negotiating.
Goal oriented and self-motivated toward achieving established performance goals.
Basic typing skills and the ability to maneuver multiple computer screens/sessions is a must.
Must be able to work evenings and weekends
Ability to adhere to a schedule
Experience in call centers or collections is a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
