Position Summary
The Recovery Services Specialist may be responsible for one or more of the major areas of responsibility listed below which support back office operations for the Recovery Department, third party agencies, bankruptcy and deceased areas. In some cases, she/he may be cross trained to act as a back-up for additional duties.
Responsibilities
Major Areas of Responsibility
ACDV/AUD - Processing Automated Consumer Dispute Verification forms (ACDV) and Automated Universal Data (AUD) forms
Customer Correspondence
Skip tracing
Bankruptcy and Deceased
Vendor and Partner Liaison
SCRA, CCCS and Debt Settlement
Payment processing/Payment reporting
Answer inbound calls
Other duties as assigned

The Recovery Services Specialist must be able to multi task and handle a wide variety of job responsibilities. He/she must exhibit professionalism and an adaptability to an ever changing environment. This position requires critical thinking and the ability to make independent decisions, as well as being a team player and demonstrating teamwork. Due to the criticality of accuracy, the individual must demonstrate exemplary attention to detail. This position requires strong interpersonal skills to interact with vendors and customers.

High School diploma or equivalent
Associate degree or higher preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
