Perspecta is responsible for performing Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) analyses in various engineering disciplines including flight mechanics, flight controls, thermal/propulsion, loads & dynamics, structures, and flight software in support of mission integration and assurance activities for Government missions flying on the Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicles (EELV) including Atlas V, Delta IV, etc.

Major responsibilities for this position include, but not limited to:

  1. Develop and validate required models for flight controls, incorporate them with flight software, and integrate all models into frequency and/or time domain analysis tool.

  1. Perform vehicle stability, controllability, and/or spacecraft?separation Monte-Carlo analyses using in-house or/and industry-standard commercial simulation codes?

  1. Document and present responsible IV&V activities and analyses.

  1. Interface with Launch Vehicle Integration Contractor (LVIC) and resolve related technical issues in support of mission integration activities.

  1. Participate in related LVIC technical reviews and support discipline analysis working group meetings.

Requires 2 to 5 years with BS/BA or 0 to 2 years with MS/MA/MBA or 8 to 10 years with no degree.

Strong technical understanding in attitude control, vehicle stability, and flight dynamics.

Excellent capability in model development, computer programming, and data analysis.??

Working experience in vehicle controllability/stability analyses and associated model development. ?Experience in launch vehicles is preferred.??

Excellent communication and writing skills.

Familiar with Simulink,?Matlab, C++, Fortran,

US citizenship required.?? Due to the nature of the work, candidate for this position must be able to obtain and maintain a secret level security clearance.?? Candidates with clearance are preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
