Day Treatment Facilitator

Overview
PH Facilitators will provide guidance and instruction to foster emotional, physical and mental growth of clients through therapeutic intervention and positive role modeling. Their primary responsibility is to coordinate and provide therapeutic services to clients and provide activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology or related field from an accredited college or university is required.

Responsibilities
Essential duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Guide clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their emotions
Encourage clients to express their feelings, discuss their lives, and develop insight into themselves and their relationships
Integrate Attachment & Attunement theory and methods into the program
Evaluate the effectiveness of intervention and activities and clients' progress in resolving identified problems and moving towards defined objectives
Advocate for clients and coordinate required services or resolve emergency problems in crisis situations
Promote participation of the client on an ongoing basis in discussions of his or her Individualized Service Plan (ISP), its goals, and the client's status toward achieving the goals
Provide information on accessing community resources relevant to the needs of assigned clients
Initiate and facilitate communication with parents, team members and outside agencies where appropriate, in a professional manner
Reward and encourage clients in accordance with the agency's policy of Unconditional Positive Regard
Mediate and instruct socially appropriate alternatives to negative and destructive behaviors
Plan and prepare therapeutic activities on a daily basis
Conduct group sessions and other therapeutic activities on a daily basis
Complete incident reports accurately and in a timely manner
Complete progress notes to document provided services in a timely manner and according to agency policy
Maintain all required treatment records including the behavioral client data collection systems
Maintain confidentiality of all client information and records
Organize and lead structured program of group interactions
Comply with all Agency policies and procedures, including CARF

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
